Lets ignore the fact for a moment that we’re in February and instead celebrate this first post of 2011. Well, ok, maybe not the first post, but the third (two new Netheril Updates have been posted).
Time sure does fly, doesn’t it? It feels as though I was writing my previous update post only yesterday, and already we’re knee deep in the new year and its Superbowl Weekend (T minus one hour and counting…!)
That being said, I’ve been hard at work putting the finishing touches on my new short story: Equanimity. The story has exploded in size since I began writing: I was initially aiming for a five-parter, though the latest draft just hit 14 parts. I may even write a 15th one just to wrap things up nicely. As for what it’s about, well I’m not ready to say just yet, though you can get some information by looking up the definition of the word equanimity.
I should also mention that new Flash Imaginations are on their way. I know I also mentioned a contest, something I’ve unfortunately had to push back by a couple of months, but its coming nonetheless!
I’ve also received a new file from Alisttair called Anauria (in PDF format). The file is filled with historical information, and Alisttair has obviously put a lot of effort into it, so please take the time to look it over. Its important to note that the file was created prior to the release of the 4th Edition D&D, thus any rules mechanics found within the file are for the 3/3.5 Edition D&D. 4th Edition adaptations of these rules will be forthcoming.
Finally, I’m working on a new article series that I hope to post bi-weekly. The series will showcase some interesting discoveries and news, as well as amusing videos and games. I’ve yet to find a name for the series, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to share them with me.
And that’s pretty much it for today. So if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go watch the Packers get their asses handed to them!
Update: Well, looks like the Packers were doing the handing. Good game nonetheless…!
